Wondering what to plant in your veggie garden this month?
Peter Cundall recommends planting the following seedlings and seeds in Tasmania in March – and if you start planting now you might be ready to sell some of your produce at one of our upcoming Farmers Markets…
Seedlings
- celery
- kale
- cabbage
- cauliflower
- broccoli
- winter lettuce
- silverbeet
- spring and salad onion
- chives
- leeks
Seeds
- cloves of garlic
- Beetroot
- carrot (early March)
- parsnip (early in March)
- turnip
- english spinach
- broadbeans
- peas (frost-free districts only)
- Asian leaf vegetables
- Asian root vegetables
- spring and salad onions
- lettuce
- green manure crops (into vacant beds)
