Peter Cundall recommends planting the following seedlings and seeds in Tasmania in March – and if you start planting now you might be ready to sell some of your produce at one of our upcoming Farmers Markets…

  • celery
  • kale
  • cabbage
  • cauliflower
  • broccoli
  • winter lettuce
  • silverbeet
  • spring and salad onion
  • chives
  • leeks

  • cloves of garlic
  • Beetroot
  • carrot (early March)
  • parsnip (early in March)
  • turnip
  • english spinach
  • broadbeans
  • peas (frost-free districts only)
  • Asian leaf vegetables
  • Asian root vegetables
  • spring and salad onions

  • green manure crops (into vacant beds)

So get planting and if you feel the urge, we’d love to hear how you are going with your growing – let us know on our Bream Creek Farmers Market Facebook page.
