Wondering what to plant in your veggie garden this month?
Peter Cundall recommends planting the following seedlings and seeds in Tasmania in March – and if you start planting now you might be ready to sell some of your produce at one of our upcoming Farmers Markets…
- winter lettuce
- spring and salad onion
- cloves of garlic
- carrot (early March)
- parsnip (early in March)
- english spinach
- peas (frost-free districts only)
- Asian leaf vegetables
- Asian root vegetables
- spring and salad onions
- green manure crops (into vacant beds)
So get planting and if you feel the urge, we’d love to hear how you are going with your growing – let us know on our Bream Creek Farmers Market Facebook page.
The next Market will be on Sunday 7 April opening at 9am, we’re looking forward to it already!
