We are ready to go with another bumper market this Sunday – starting at 9am at the lovely Bream Creek Showgrounds.

Don’t forget to bring along your preserves, jams, chutneys, marmalades, pickles etc for the Preserve Swap as well – a fantastic opportunity to swap your overload of apple chutney for some other gorgeous, homemade bottles and jars.  What fun!

For this kids this weekend we have heaps of activities – so make it a family day out!  After shopping relax, have a coffee and watch the kids play – there will be a colouring in competition, crocheting, knitting, play dough, autumn leaf rubbing, puzzles and more – this will all be happening down towards the wood chop area – enough to keep your little ones amused for a looooong time while you enjoy yourself!

We would also like to welcome new stallholder Vintage Sugar – they will be selling Tasmanian inspired macarons, brittles, seasonal baked goods including tarts, muffins, and slices, Tasmanian toffees, marshmallows and fudges as well as a beautiful selection of sweet dukkah and flavoured sugars.  Yum!

We also have some of our fantastic regular stallholders this week:

Community Stall – will have a lovely range of fresh produce, flowers plus other goodies – make this your first stop  at the market!

Fudgey – handmade, gourmet fudge made locally on the Peninsula.  We tried nearly every flavour at the last Market and can highly recommend them ALL.

William McHenry and Sons Distillery – gin, vodka and whiskey made at Port Arthur – delicious ice creams as well.

Beanyard Coffee – wrap your hands around a fresh hot coffee, made with fair trade beans made by two local fellas – just what you need to get you started on a fresh Autumn morning.

Crooked Enterprises, Anita and Russell Crook – selling vegetables and herbs, salmon with special spices, homemade savoury tarts along with spice blends.

Gillespie’s Ginger Beer – locally made, refreshing and delicious ginger beer – with a little kick of booze if you choose!

Bream Creek Pudding Co. – amazing home made puddings with old fashioned flavour, ready to take home and pop in the oven for a Sunday night sweet treat.

Sue Kelly – locally made and totally delicious home made cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and baked goods, get in quickly this week!

Leap Farm – amazingly tasty goat meat and ready  made goat dishes such as ragu and curries – one of our most popular stalls so get in early!

Pies of Mother England – hot, homemade and delicious and ready to eat, these pies are just the thing to ward off the chill in the air.

Honk Mustard – made locally in Taranna, from an original Finnish recipe, perfect with your Sunday roast beef!

Duggan Brand Apples – from the apple growing paradise of the Huon Valley. They will have 6 different types of apples including Royal Gala and Cox’s Orange Pippin, plus many more.

Jakob’s Pantry – cakes, slices, tarts and pastries, using old fashioned recipes, a must try!  This week Jakob’s Pantry will also be selling their range of hot soups, ready to eat at the Market OR to take home for later.  We’ve heard that the Thai Chicken Soup is extremely popular!

Kellevie Kitchen – Kate North will be selling her locally made range of jams and chutneys.

Sirocco South – fresh pasta, lasagne, pizza bases and other really delicious Italian meals to take home and pop straight in the oven. Sirocco South are always very busy so it does pay to get in early!

Nana’s Farm Beauty – creams and balms to sooth all ailments using organic principles and natural products.

Psychedelic Juices – delicious freshly squeezed juices using fruit in season.

Sue Metzler and Greg Pitt – homemade preserves, jams, relish, chutneys, sauces and much more.

Frog Hollow Nursery – a fantastic range of native Australian and Tasmanian seedlings and food plants. Dave and Zoe have a wealth of knowledge about plants and gardens and are always happy to give advice and answer questions about what plants will be best for your garden.

Cape Bernier Vineyard, Alastair Christie – selling a range of local wines, olive oil as well as brine cured and salt cured olives.
