Mark Robertson, from Lost Pippin

Lost Pippin is based in the Coal River Valley, and is run by Mark and his partner Rebecca.  Mark’s passion is to help people discover the real apple, pear and cider flavours in his products.  Mark uses pears grown on his own property to make the cider, picked from trees which are over 100 years old, and all other fruit is sourced from Tasmanian orchards in the Huon and Coal River Valleys.  Lost Pippin cider is a favourite at the Market with a refreshing cold cider just the thing for a hot summer day, or a mulled cider to warm you up in winter.


So, tell us a bit about yourselves…

Mark runs the business and has done for the last three years – we kind of fell into the business!


What types of ciders do you make?

We make handcrafted cider and perry (pear cider).


Which of your products is your favourite?

The ‘Heritage’.  It is dry, complex and quite traditional.


What are you favourite products at the Bream Creek Farmers Market?

We love Vintage Sugar (cakes, biscuits and confectionary), Little Quoin Farmhouse (pork products), Jono and Jo the octopus guys and the coffee!  Pretty much everyone!


What is the best thing about living in our part of Tassie?

The produce.
