February Planting Guide – what to plant in your garden right now…

If you’re wondering what to plant in your veggie garden this month, look no further…

Peter Cundall (veteran Tassie veggie gardener and all-round garden expert) recommends planting the following seedlings and seeds during the month of February:


  • Broccoli
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Winter Cabbage
  • Kale
  • Cauliflower
  • Celery
  • Lettuce
  • Leek
  • Silver Beet
  • Spring Onion


  • Broccoli

  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower
  • Late Brussels Sprouts
  • Leek
  • Turnip
  • Beetroot
  • Chinese Brassicas
  • Parsnip
  • Silverbeet

Whether you grow a bunch or a barrow load, you’re always welcome to bring along your produce to sell at the Community Stall or you may even have enough for a stall of your own.  So get planting and if you feel the urge, we’d love to hear how you are going with your growing – let us know on our Bream Creek Farmers Market Facebook page.
