William McHenry and Sons Distillery.

Port Arthur.

Australia’s southern-most distillery making high quality whisky and premium spirits.

How long have you been operating?

The Distillery was started in 2010.

What is your favourite product?
At the moment our Gin and Sloe Gin have turned into extraordinarily popular products and are being preferred to Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray Gin.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I love creating our lovely spirits and creating a family business that hopefully will be built into a significant local emplyer by generations of McHenrys.

What do you enjoy the most about the Bream Creek Farmers Market?

To me, the Bream Creek Farmers Market is the quintessential community based market.  A friendly atmosphere, a gorgeous setting and a great variety of local produce.

How long have you been selling your products on the market circuit?
Our first market was in New Norfolk at the 2012 Autumn Festival.

Has anything especially funny ever happened to you at a market?

We once accidentally sold some whisky to a customer for $100 less than the correct price.  The next week the customer came back with the $100 (and we have him a complimentary small bottle for his honesty!).

What’s your favourite thing about selling at a market?
On a sunny day it’s a great way to spend a Sunday morning!

Where else are your products available?
We have an online shop or you can buy our products from shops in the Tasman region, Vines and Designs, Common Ground, Shoreline Inn and Salad Bowl.
