Sunday, December 1st is Bream Creek Farmers Market’s bumper buildup to Christmas….as well as heaps of our favourite farmers, makers, bakers, brewers and preservers, where you can stock up on locally farmed meats, cheeses from just up the road, pickles, preserves, and pastes, pet treats, native plants and seedlings, Dunalley Tasman Community House specials, just-picked vegetables, award winning wines, ciders, milkshakes and delicious breakfast, lunch and takeaway food choices… this month we are hosting artists, ceramicists, potters, sculptors, jewellers, leather products and other designers in our Artisan’s Alley.
Artisan’s Alley will feature a range of beautiful stalls, all showcasing the skills and talents of creators from within our local community. You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with all the individuals who will be bringing wares all made with significant proportions of Tasmanian-sourced materials. Tim Holmes from Potters Croft, Dunalley says “We are especially pleased to be included in the Bream Creek Farmers Market. It is the perfect opportunity to display our functional pots, designed for use on the table and in the kitchen.”
Mark Sands and his Sands Family Circus will be with us conducting Crazy Bike Workshops and Circus Skills. Mark says “Drop by and try your hand at a range of different circus skills including juggling, unicycling, diablo, rolla, bolla and more. Fun for all ages!” Free face painting with Marg will really help you get into the circus spirit.
Our Pavlova Competition with special guest judges is on again, if you are looking for inspirations, or better yet, have your eye on the prizes with your own entry! We have seen some incredibly creative entries in the past, so give it your best shot! You are welcome to add any finishing touches to your entry in our kitchens. Entries will close at the Bream Creek Showground kitchen at 10am with judges announcing prize winners after 12.30pm. The top 3 pavlovas entries judged will receive cash awards donated by the generous Bream Creek Community Bakers and the BCFM Committee.
