March Madness? Maybe!

March is the month…from Koonya Garlic festival on Saturday 29th February leaping us into March (technically March ’cause this day doesn’t happen every year!) and the Bream Creek with the ride on lawn mower engines revving into gear for the big day…21st March 2020, this sure is ‘a small country show with a big country heart’.

This fabulous region of ours absolutely punches above its weight.

…and then we have the monthly Bream Creek Farmers Market…

Every month we are lucky enough to showcase, meet and market this region’s amazing produce and amazing producers in a stunning location at Bream Creek Showgrounds.

This region produces award winning wine makers and and our very own Six Friends Pinot producers, Tim and Hannah from Burnside. We have the beautiful Cape Bernier Cellar door just along the road from us. We have award winning cider producers, Ninch and Pagan that join us @breamcreekfarmersmarket. Our pork and goat farmers, Long Name Farm and Leap Farm are both past recipients of Sprout Small Producer Awards

Our food vans and coffee providers are the friendliest, most passionate talents you could ever hope to meet. If you haven’t met Andrea and Carolina from Kiltro yet, wow, you are in for a treat…paella made with the most beautiful Tasmanian seafoods and cooked by a Chilean and a Brazilian with love, passion and charm. We are also thrilled to welcome Arad from Persia’s Pantry for his first market with us. Arad has recently relocated to Tasmania from Perth and will introduce us to his mother’s recipes for Persian sweet and savoury treats, including Persian Love Dates, Sweet Lips and Tira syrups..lots of new taste adventures for us in store!

We have Dino the Bread guy and Kelly and her family with Timenlove adding beautiful artisan breads to our shopping baskets alongside the stunning pastry delights from Grace and Made@Marion. Grace’s take on a grown up version of the cocopop chocolate crackle was nothing short of amazing…can’t wait to taste the next stunning culinery triumph!

We have fabulous local musicians who have the opportunity to entertain us every year at Falls Festival, and come and play for us every month at Bream Creek Farmers Market. This month we are thrilled to have Aly and Garry from Silver Zephyr bringing their unique arrangements of all our favourite covers…if you want to hear a hip hop version of Desperado, or move your feet to a Cold Chisel classic, they’ve got us covered!

Our market stallholders, our musicians and our volunteers are such hardworking, loyal, talented and engaging individuals and they make Bream Creek Farmers Market a very special place to visit. Come and see us on Sunday 1st March 2020…bring your reusable shopping baskets!

The Bream Creek Farmers Market is supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania and Sorell Council through the Community Grant Program 2019 -2020
