IT’S SHOWTIME!
The Bream Creek Show is on this Saturday, and we’re running a special community stall with local fruit and veg, locally-made cakes, honey, HONK mustard, spices, cook books, plus more. We’re on the look out for new stallholders too, so drop in and see us.
The Show started in 1897 and is still going strong, and a real slice of Tassie country life, with various competitions and demonstrations of the agricultural arts including baking, crochet, cut flowers, jams and relishes in the Hall of Industries, fleece, oyster shucking, wood chopping, sheep dog trials, shearing, draught horses, country craft and giant pumpkins outside (see the Newitt family’s entry above). There’s also the animal nursery, Bonorong wildlife sanctuary stall, snake demonstration, the Kids’ Tent, the Pelican Puppets, sand sculpture, pony rides, and a kids’ pumpkin bowling event!
See more on the Show website at http://www.breamcreekshow.com.au
The show is on Saturday 18 March from 9am to 4pm.
Hope to see you there.
